After Rahul Gandhi's attack on the Modi government over the Manipur crisis, Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave a status report over Manipur violence during the Day 2 of no-trust debate.
"I agree with the opposition that there is a cycle of violence in Manipur ... Nobody can support such incidents. Whatever happened is shameful, but to politicise those events is even more shameful," Shah said.
Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the politics of BJP has "murdered Bharat Mata" in Manipur.

Unaware of the tribal traditions, Gujarat Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Raghavji Patel consumed the liquor that was offered to him to perform a tribal ritual. Patel was at an event in Dediapada in the Narmada district for the celebrations of World Tribal Day. While performing a tribal ritual, the minister and some other guests were given some liquor on a leaf to offer to mother earth. However, the minister drank the liquor in his leaf, and was immediately stopped by other dignitaries with him. The minister later realized his mistake and said he was unaware of the tradition. The video of the incident is viral on social media.
Day 2 of the no-confidence motion debate in the Lok Sabha saw a fierce debate. After Rahul Gandhi's aggressive offensive, Home Minister Amit Shah gave a point-by-point status report on the Manipur situation and slammed the opposition for opposition for politicising the ethnic violence in the hill state.
