Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Congress has said, "BJP is clearly seeing its defeat in the upcoming Madhya Pradesh elections. The party is completely nervous and distraught due to the visible defeat. See the result of this furore- when Mrs Priyanka Gandhiji raised her voice against the 50% commission scam going on in Madhya Pradesh..."

"So, to hide their corruption, the BJP government got FIRs registered against them in 41 districts. If the BJP was with the truth, they would have answered it in front, instead of trying to suppress the truth by hiding behind the police as usual. But we are not afraid. The truth will be in front of the public very soon. People will not forgive you. Destruction black, opposite intellect," it said.

PRIYANKA GANDHI'S '50% COMMISSION' CLAIM

The Congress leader on Friday alleged that the government contractors in Madhya Pradesh receive payment “only after paying a 50 per cent commission”. She also claimed that the contractors’ union had written to the chief justice of the High Court over the demand for commission.

“The people of Madhya Pradesh will remove the BJP government of 50 per cent commission. The corrupt BJP government in Karnataka used to collect a 40 per cent commission. In Madhya Pradesh, BJP has gone ahead by breaking its own record of corruption,” she posted on X.

Madhya Pradesh BJP president VD Sharma warned of strong action against Priyanka.

"Congress is trying to malign the image of Madhya Pradesh on the basis of a false letter. Earlier, her brother cheated the public by lying. Now Priyanka is spreading lies. The BJP will take legal action against this act of Congress leaders," Sharma said.

Following this, a complaint was filed with the crime branch in Bhopal by state minister Vishwas Sarang and other BJP MLAs. Another complaint was lodged at the Sanyogita Ganj police station in Indore seeking an FIR against Congress leaders, including Priyanka.
