Eiffel Tower reopens for public after 'false' bomb threat

The Eiffel Tower in Paris, among the most visited tourist sites in the world, was closed to the public on Saturday after being evacuated as a precautionary measure following a bomb threat, a French police source said.

Visitors were allowed back into the Eiffel Tower on Saturday about two hours after officials evacuated it due to a bomb threat, a French police source said.

"It was a false alarm, people can go back inside," the source said.
