"The fight will be managed by my and Zuck's foundations (not UFC). Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in the camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all," he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

This unexpected setting shift follows Musk's conversations with Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, who have lent their support to the epic showdown. Musk's statement emphasized a respectful nod to Italy's rich past and present, with all proceeds going to veterans, aligning the event with a noble cause. Adding to the buzz, Musk recently shared a health update, noting that while his C5/C6 fusion is solid, his right shoulder blade rubbing against his ribs requires minor surgery.

"I spent 3 hours in an MRI machine on Monday. Bottom line is that my C5/C6 fusion is solid, so not an issue. However, there is a problem with my right shoulder blade rubbing against my ribs, which requires minor surgery. Recovery will only take a few months."

As for Mark Zuckerberg, the updates posted by him on social media suggest that he is also eager to fight with Musk. He reportedly suggested a potential date of August 26, but he is still awaiting Musk's confirmation on this.

But, when did all this start? The back-and-forth banter started when Musk challenged Zuckerberg following news about Meta's Threads launch, with the SpaceX CEO exclaiming, "I'm up for a cage match if he is lol."

This epic clash traces back to Musk's humorous challenge following Meta's Threads launch. Musk's words, "I'm up for a cage match if he is lol," sparked this larger-than-life narrative. The storyline grew as Musk revealed his "mega back pain" stemming from a sumo wrestling match. This isn't the first time Musk has thrown down the gauntlet; he previously challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to "single combat" over the conflict in Ukraine.
