'Gadar 2' box office collection day 2: Sunny Deol's film is unstoppable

22 years later, 'Gadar 2' released on the big screen. The film, featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, hit the theatres on August 11, 2023. It clashed with Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam's 'OMG 2' at the box office. Directed by Anil Sharma, 'Gadar 2' got a thunderous start at the ticket window. It minted Rs 40.10 crore at the box office. And now, as per early trade estimates, the film is continuing its dream run.

According to Sacnilk, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's film earned Rs 43 crore on day 2 at the box office. Despite the box office clash with 'OMG 2', 'Gadar 2' is performing exceedingly well at the ticket window.

YOUNG FAN TOUCHES SUNNY DEOL'S FEET

At the promotional event of 'Gadar 2', a little fan walked up to Sunny Deol and touched his feet. Interestingly, the little one was dressed as Deol's character Tara Singh from the film. A paparazzo shared the video on Instagram with a caption that read, "Tara singh with Jr Tara singh. Sunny paaji having moment with little fans as they promoting Gadar 2, tell us about your views on Film. #sunnydeol (sic)."

Meanwhile, India Today's 'Gadar 2's review read, "The story of ‘Gadar 2’ takes off from where the makers had left things in 2001. And that is a clever move. A sequel of a story made 22 years later would have found itself in a tough spot, if a grown-up Jeetey used a mobile phone and spoke to his parents in millennial lingo. Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) has created a home with his beloved Sakina, his love for whom increases with each passing day. Their son is a college-going lad, whose love for his father takes him places (and not in a way it is supposed to be)."

The film also stars Utkarsh Sharma.
