Has Pakistani singer Ali Sethi married Salman Toor? Internet can’t keep calm

Pakistani singer Ali Sethi, best known for his songs Pasoori and Left Right, has reportedly married artist Salman Toor. Reports suggest that they got married in an intimate ceremony in New York City.

Salman Toor is a Pakistani-American artist, and is close friends with Ali for a long time now. They first met each other during an art class at Aitchison College.

No details as such about their rumoured wedding have been made available so far on social media. In fact, neither parties have confirmed the news of their wedding yet.

Meanwhile, Ali Sethi occupied one of the top spots on Twitter as people shared their thoughts and opinions. While a section of the internet congratulated the singer, several Pakistani social media users expressed strong dissent and trolled Ali Sethi.

While talking about his sexual identity, Salman Toor had told The New Yorker in 2022 that he tried telling his parents that he was gay when he was 15. “They didn’t accept that,” he told the publication while adding that they both eventually came to terms with his sexuality “more with tolerance than with understanding.”

While talking about Ali Sethi in the same interview, Salman had said: “I knew I had found the person I wanted to be with for good.”

Ali Sethi’s popular songs, apart from Pasoori, include Chandni Raat, Chan Kithan and Dil Ki Khair. His sister, Mira Sethi, is a celebrated actress in Pakistan and has featured in popular shows such as Yeh Dil Mera and Kuch Ankahi.
