3 easy steps to ensure you don't experience acidity or gas because of late lunch

  • Have a glass of water, slowly sip your water: Water not just reduces problems of acidiy but also GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) symptoms. Having water and sipping it slowly can also reduce the formation of gas which won't cause any headaches after you eat a meal.
  • Have a pulpy fruit: You can preferably have a banana, custard apple or chikoo before during 11 am to 1 pm when you're not having your meal. Fruits alleviate any acidity issues in the stomach and makes it ready to digest your meal. If you don't have a fruit, have dates, suggested the expert.
  • When you finally have your lunch, make sure you're ending the lunch with ghee or jaggery to ensure you don't get a headache or acidity.

Besides this, other ways to reduce acidity are having cucumbers, melons, chewing gum, and apple cider vinegar (ACV) mixed with water could help.
