The team is due to face Ireland in three T20Is on August 18, 20, and 23 in Malahide, Dublin. To brace himself for this series, Prasidh chose the KSCA T20 Tournament to further perfect his skills and prepare his body for the demands of international cricket, PTI news agency reported.

During the game on Sunday, the right-arm pacer displayed his mettle, delivering two overs with great intensity and speed, taking a crucial wicket while giving away just 13 runs.

Showing his readiness to take on bigger challenges, Prasidh clean bowled Luvnith Sisodia, his Karnataka teammate, for a three-ball duck. Despite his strong performance, the Mysuru Warriors lost to the Tigers by nine wickets in a rain-affected match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

This comeback marks an important step in Prasidh’s cricketing career, following a long injury lay-off that saw him sit out for nearly a year. His last ODI match was against Zimbabwe on August 20, 2022.

A lumbar stress fracture had ruled the 27-year-old pacer out of the 2023 IPL season, causing him to undergo surgery and a recovery period at the National Cricket Academy. But his recent performance in the KSCA T20 tournament shows a promising return, signaling his readiness for the upcoming series against Ireland.
