Congress mixing legal and political fights?

 

Rahul Gandhi, who was convicted and sentenced to two years in jail in a 2019 criminal defamation case, was granted bail by a sessions court in Gujarat's Surat on Monday. The court will hear his appeal against conviction in the defamation case on April 13. 

Senior Congress leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, chief ministers of three Congress-ruled states, and other national and state party leaders accompanied Rahul Gandhi to the Surat court as a show of strength and solidarity.

BJP leader Kiren Rijiju condemned the gathering of Congress leaders and said that "Congress is displaying a drama to threaten the judiciary".
