FIRST REACTION

When asked about her reaction to seeing her name in the top 10, Kanika said that she couldn't believe her eyes.

"I was not at all expecting my name. When the result came, I rechecked it two to three times just to see and make sure that it was my name at rank 9," says Kanika, who was enrolled in Unacademy.

She further adds, "I am very happy and satisfied. I have finally achieved my goal after ten years of preparation."

MOTIVATION BEHIND HER SUCCESS

In Class 7, Kanika decided to prepare for UPSC and clear the examination. And throughout her journey of 10 years, her parents were her constant support system.

"My parents always supported me. They told me that I could do it," says Kanika.

CHALLENGES FACED

In 2022, Kanika didn't clear the examination and it came as a setback for her. But, she was constant with her preparation and cleared the examination on the second attempt.

"I believe my strength was in my setback only. It didn't let it affect me, and I prepared once again," says Kanika.

HOW DID SHE PREPARE?

"I divided my time and took time off to eat, go out, and sleep properly. The rest, I studied. A balance between studying and relaxing is important," says Kanika.

She says, "If you work constantly and smartly, you can do any examination. Take time to eat, sleep and relax. It is important."

ONE PIECE OF ADVICE FOR CANDIDATES

"Keep working hard, do smart work. If you have the zeal, you will surely make it. Even if you have a setback at any stage, whether it is prelims, mains, or the interview, take it as a step and move forward. You will clear next time for sure," says Kanika.
