India asks nationals in Niger to leave country
The central government issued an advisory for the Indian nationals in the African country of Niger on Friday. The citizens are asked to leave the country 'as soon as possible.' Addressing the media, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "Government of India is closely monitoring ongoing developments in Niger. In light of the prevailing situation, Indian nationals whose presence is not essential are advised to leave the country as soon as possible."
