No place for violence: JP Nadda on reports of pre-poll violence in Manipur

Ahead of the upcoming state assembly polls in Manipur, BJP national president JP Nadda said that there is no place for violence in the state.

Nadda said, "Our CM has clearly stated that there is no place for violence and there will be zero tolerance. We fully support him and there is no chance of violence."

Bulldozer action in Haryana's Nuh, illegal constructions demolished

The Haryana administration continued 'bulldozer action' and razed down several establishments in Tauru, about 20 km from violence-hit Nuh on Saturday. Illegal encroachment by illegal immigrants was razed in the area on Friday too. Structures and shanties near Nuh's SKM Government Medical College were demolished earlier today. The demolition drive was carried out by the Haryana Urban Development Authority. The authorities earlier today also bulldozed illegal encroachments right in front of the hospital on the way to Nalhar temple.

3 killed in fresh violence in Manipur’s Bishnupur, houses burnt

At least three people died in fresh incidents of violence that were reported in Manipur’s Bishnupur district late on Friday. The deceased are reportedly from the Meitei community in Kwakta area. In the fresh incidents of violence, several houses of the Kuki community were also burnt down.

3 soldiers killed in encounter with terrorists in Kashmir's Kulgam

At least three army personnel were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district on Friday. Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the higher reaches of the Halan forest area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir following inputs about the presence of terrorists there, a police official told news agency PTI.

Muslim side present at Gyanvapi mosque after Supreme Court gives nod to survey

A day after the Supreme Court gave a nod to the scientific survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex in Varanasi, the Muslim side said they will cooperate with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Survey to determine if the mosque was built upon a temple. After the Supreme Court's decision, the Masjid Committee will also participate in the survey which resumes today.
