No Sunday holiday today, Yogi government's directive for UP Schools

The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order to all basic and secondary schools in the state to stay open today, i.e., August 13, 2023 (Sunday) to mark the preparations of Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Mati Mera Desh programs under the Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav scheme.
According to the orders, students will receive special mid-day meals. Also, the Yogi government has decided on the date-wise outline of the Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Mati Desh programs in schools.
POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION
A poetry recitation program will be organised for the students in the school today, August 13, 2023. The Director General of School Education and Director of Mid-Day Meal Authority Vijay Kiran Anand has issued an order.
OTHER DETAILS
As per the instructions from the government, schools are set to host multiple programs today. Also, schools have to upload photographs of the day-to-day events that are taking place in the school.
Additionally, the district-wise number of teachers and students involved in the program should also be made available to the concerned nodal officer of the directorate.
