Traffic advisory for Noida-Delhi commuters ahead of Independence Day | Details

As per Noida Police's advisory for Independence Day, traffic movement for commercial vehicles will be regulated for four days starting from August 12.

Ahead of Independence Day programmes in Delhi and nearby areas, Noida Police on Friday issued a traffic advisory for commuters between Noida- Delhi to ensure smooth vehicular movement across the national capital.

Citing the security reasons during the Independence Day programme as a reason, Noida Police in its advisory said that all heavy, medium and light commercial vehicles will not be allowed to enter the national capital from 10 pm of August 12 to August 13 (till the conclusion of the full dress Independence Day programme rehearsals) and from 10 pm of August 14 to the conclusion of Independence Day celebrations on August 15.

Here are the alternative routes provided by the Noida Police

In its advisory, the Noida Police advised commuters to take the following alternatives to reach their destinations.

  • Vehicles going to Delhi or other states via the national capital from Noida's Chilla Border can take the Eastern Peripheral Expressway through Noida-Greater Noida Expressway after making a U-turn from the Chilla Red Light to avoid hassles in view of the diversions.
  • Vehicles driving to Delhi or other states via Delhi from the Delhi-Noida-Delhi (DND) flyover can take a U-turn from the toll plaza and can move towards their destinations from the Eastern Peripheral Expressway via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
  • Vehicles heading to Delhi or other states via the national capital from the Kalindi Kunj-Yamuna border will be diverted from an underpass located before the Yamuna River. They can take the Eastern Peripheral Expressway via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to reach their destinations.
