Nurse stabbed to death in Patna, accused on the run; cops suspect family enmity

A 25-year-old nurse was brutally stabbed to death in Bihar's Patna on Saturday. The victim was stabbed multiple times by a man with a knife before he fled the spot assuming she was dead.
A preliminary police probe revealed that the nurse was attacked over family enmity. The incident happened at 4 pm in Patna's Kankarbagh, a busy spot in the city.
The victim was badly injured in the attack and was immediately rushed to the hospital by passersby where she died during treatment.
The victim has been identified as Soni Kumari, a native of Purnea, who was associated with the Jay Prabha Medanta Super Speciality Hospital in Patna.
Police said the nurse was going to her hostel after completing her shift when she was stabbed. However, no arrest has been made so far and a probe is underway.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and family members have been informed about the incident. Police are scanning the CCTV footage to arrest the suspect, who is on the run.
