'OMG 2' box office collection day 2: Akshay Kumar's film sees growth
Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' clashed with 'Gadar 2' at the box office. Here's how the film fared at the ticket window on day 2.
A decade after 'OMG', the second installment of the film hit the big screen. Starring Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi, 'OMG 2' released in cinemas on August 11, 2023. It clashed with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's 'Gadar 2' at the box office. Despite the BO clash, the Akshay Kumar film has managed to have a good run. It got a good start at the ticket window and witnessed a 50% spike.

'OMG 2' saw a growth of nearly 50% As compared to day 1 box office collection, the film collected Rs 15.30 crore. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 25.56 crore. 'OMG 2' is a sequel to Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar-starrer 'OMG: Oh my God'.

India Today's Entertainment Editor, Tushar Joshi, gave 4 stars to 'OMG 2'. His review of the film read, "'OMG 2' has the right blend of humour, wit and realism topped with dollops of powerhouse acting by a solid ensemble cast led by Pankaj Tripathi. Amit Rai's writing is sharp and the dialogues are on the money. Everyone from Kanti's daughter to the judge overseeing his case to his assistant is aptly cast to play roles that feel organically written for these actors."
The film has been directed by Amit Rai.
