CHALLENGES FACED IN PURSUIT OF EDUCATION

The right to education is a right for every citizen of India. However, for many, it is strenuous to receive a proper education.

"Ever since I was a little child, I have struggled to get a proper education. Coming from a very remote village and being the son of a farmer couple, I was not privy to many options," says Raushan.

With no school in his village, Raushan had to go to a primary school located in the nearby village. Even when a school was established in his village, it lacked a coherent curriculum and proper infrastructure, hindering his educational progress.

"I was always aware that to have access to a slightly better schooling system, I would need to qualify for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya exam, which would grant me free education until the 12th grade and allow me to save my parents' hard-earned money. And fortunately, I passed the exam," adds Raushan.

However, his struggle didn't end there. Pursuing higher education in engineering proved to be financially burdensome. With limited savings, Raushan's elder brother helped him pursue a BTech degree in Electronics and Communication from BIT, Sindri.

"I will forever be grateful to my elder brother for taking care of my higher education," says Raushan.

Raushan dreamed of studying at an IIT. He even qualified for the GATE exam, but his scores were not enough to join the institute. Therefore, he enrolled in a full-stack development course at Newton School.

"When I decided to pursue the full-stack development course at Newton School to start my career in tech, my brother assured me that he would save as much as possible by selling the farm produce in the city and paying for the course," adds Raushan.

To pursue his education at Newton School, Raushan had to relocate to Ranchi. He rented a small room and moved in with his younger brother. He attended his classes and helped his younger brother with his studies.

IMPACT OF HIS SUCCESS ON HIS FAMILY

Raushan's success as a software engineer has brought great pride to his family and the entire village of Ambatanr. Being the first person in his village to pursue education beyond school has shattered the cycle of limited opportunities. His achievement serves as an inspiration for other families.

"The fact that I have received a complete education and also got a tech job is a very big deal for the whole village, especially for my family as it is a moment of great pride. I have finally emerged successful in breaking the cycle by getting out of the village and starting a corporate life," he says.

"My job will act as an assurance that they can also pursue further education and make their careers," says Raushan.

FUTURE GOALS

Raushan aspires to become one of the leading engineers who will be known for his work. His ambition not only aims to enhance his skills and career but also to bring recognition to his village, empower the students of his village, and help them break free from poverty through education.

"I want to work hard and discover new ways to take technology even further ahead. This will not only help me enhance my skills and grow my career but also bring great recognition to my village. And hopefully, more and more students will establish themselves similarly and bring great pride to Ambatanr," says Raushan.
