By Sharat Kumar: Former Rajasthan minister Rajendra Gudha on Monday claimed that he had a 'red diary' containing details of alleged irregular financial transactions of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He made these claims just before the monsoon session in the Rajasthan Assembly.

Rajendra Gudha, who was recently sacked as a minister for raising concerns about the safety of women in Rajasthan, claimed that he got the diary during an income tax raid at Congress leader Dharmendra Rathore's residence.

He claimed that the diary contained the names of Ashok Gehlot and his son, along with details of financial transactions including substantial sums of money provided to MLAs.

CONTENTS OF 'RED DIARY'

“The diary is written by Dharmendra Rathore. It has the name of Ashok Gehlot and his son. It has details of financial transactions, the money given to MLAs. The money was Rs 2-5 crore, not in lakhs," he said, according to news agency PTI.

Gudha said that Congress MLAs "snatched" the diary from him. However, he said he managed to retain a part of the 'red diary'.

The Congress leader was marshalled out of the Rajasthan Assembly on Monday after he created a ruckus during the session. He alleged he was attacked, punched and dragged out of the Assembly by Congress leaders.

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya reacted to the incident where Gudha was marshalled out of the Assembly. He tweeted a video of the Rajasthan Assembly session where Gudha can be seen waving the 'red diary' in front of the Speaker.

SACKED MINISTER SLAMS CONGRESS MLAs

After he was allegedly escorted out of the Assembly, Gudha drew a comparison between Congress MLAs and rapists. He accused them of conducting their illegal activities from within the assembly, much like how gangster Lawrence Bishnoi runs his criminal empire from behind bars.

"Rapists who are in jail and those who are sitting in the House, there is no difference between them," he said.

Gudha, who held charge as minister of state for Sainik Kalyan (Independent Charge), Home Guard and Civil Defence, Panchayati Raj and Rural Development, was sacked on July 21, after he cornered the state government over the law and order situation and women's safety in the Assembly.

The Congress MLA said he was accused of being hand-in-glove with the BJP and questioned what mistake he made and why he should apologise.
