"There is no way that this (Maha Vikas Aghadi) government is becoming unstable," NCP chief Sharad Pawar said.

By Rajdeep Sardesai, Sahil Joshi: In an interview with India Today Group's Marathi Web Channel Mumbai Tak, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar spoke on the stability of the Maharashtra government and the "misuse" of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) by the Centre.

‘CLEAR MISUSE OF ED’

During the Congress regime, there might have been a few incidents in some states. But now, the way ED is being misused, it was never there. 4-5 years ago, what was ED? We did not even know that. ED was never discussed. At the most, it used to be that the case would go to CBI. But there was nothing more than that. What is this ED? It has come now. Many times, people are arrested; reputed people are summoned; this is a clear misuse of the agency.

ON PARAM BIR SINGH'S ALLEGATIONS AGAINST ANIL DESHMUKH

Why is that [former] Police Commissioner not coming forward now? The point is that the officer who has done something... that is brushed aside. And rather than investigating that officer, the Central government is investigating the allegations levelled by him. This attitude is lethal.
