Koel Purie Rinchet’s debut novel ‘Clearly Invisible in Paris’ was unveiled at a star-studded event in Mumbai today. The event was attended by several celebrities including Suhana and Gauri Khan.

Suhana, who will be sharing screen space with Koel Purie Rinchet in The Archies, revealed her favourite parts of the newly-launched book at the event. Without giving away spoilers, Suhana said: “I think what I loved about this book is that the writing is accessible yet, it is full of contradictory characters that are flawed yet relatable. What resonated with me the most is that at the heart of it, it is about friendship and I am happy to be surrounded by friends that hold my hands during tough times and good times. What I believe is that friendship defies logic.”

Suhana also talked about her friendship with Koel. “Koel and I are friends despite being from different generations and cities,” Suhana said.

Talking about a paragraph she really found hopeful in the book, Suhana said: “How basically light doesn't exist without darkness. Or there is no winter without summer. You can't feel happiness without having felt sadness. And essentially, just stating that there is no good without the bad. So, I think that was a very hopeful paragraph because it just kind of shows that there is a balance in the world.”

Another part of the book that struck a chord with Suhana, she said, had a Biryani connect. “There is a line in the book which says 'Biryani brings people together' and I love Biryani,” she said.

Suhana loved it so much that she said she wants a T-shirt with that particular line from Koel’s debut novel printed on it.

At the event, Suhana also opened up on how Koel inspired her with her presence on the sets of The Archies. “I learnt that Koel is into writing plays and in our breaks, and on sets, she would be writing a play and making her own stuff. And that is so inspiring,” she said.

Kabir Bedi, Rajat Kapoor and Rahul Bose also attended the event.
