Tamil Nadu chief minister's wife offers Rs 14 lakh gold crown to Kerala temple

Durga Stalin, the wife of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, made a significant offering at the Guruvayur temple in Kerala. During her visit on Thursday, she presented a golden crown, which is estimated to be valued at around Rs 14 lakh, to the temple.
The crown, fashioned from 32 sovereigns of gold, was bestowed as a gesture of devotion. Besides the gold crown, she also offered a machine that grinds small pieces of sandalwood. The machine is worth over Rs 2 lakhs. This machine will process the remains of small pieces of sandalwood in the temple.

The arrangement for presenting the gold crown was facilitated by a Coimbatore-based businessperson.
