In Short

  • India and West Indies will play in the fourth T20I on Saturday
  • India have won 4 out of 6 T20Is in Lauderhill
  • West Indies are currently leading the series 2-1

India and West Indies are all set to lock horns in the fourth match of the five-match T20I series on Saturday, August 12 at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.

After disappointing performances in the first two matches, the Men in Blue made a solid comeback by winning the third match by seven wickets. Tilak Varma hasn’t shown any signs of nervousness as he is the leading run-scorer of the series.

Kuldeep Yadav also picked up three wickets in the previous game. India have won four out of six T20Is in Florida while losing only one. Hence, they will be fancying their chances at a venue where the Caribbean team hasn’t been at its best over the years.

But the toss is going to play a major part. Out of the 13 completed T20Is at the venue, the team batting first has won 12 of them.

West Indies took an early advantage by taking a 2-0 lead and the last thing they would want is to let India draw level in the series. Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell have been in brilliant form with the bat and their roles are going to hold a lot of importance.

Is there a chance of rain?

As per Accuweather, there is a 5 to 8 percent chance of rain from 11 am to 1 pm. But it is unlikely to cause any delays and interruptions during that period. At around 2 PM, there is a 51 percent chance of rain. Hence, the team batting second needs to keep a check on the DLS par score in case the heavens open up.

Temperatures will be around 33 degrees Celsius and the playing conditions will mostly be sunny during the first half. Clouds will start hovering over the ground from 1 PM onwards and conditions are expected to worsen by 2 PM.
