Salman had also opened up about his sexuality in the same interview, revealing that he came out as gay to his parents when he was 15.

The publication also revealed that over six years ago, Ali and Salman realised that "they belonged together." "I knew I had found the person I wanted to be with for good," Salman told The New Yorker.
