Will they visit Rajasthan Bengal as well, asks Anurag Thakur on Opposition's visit to Manipur

As INDIA alliance delegation visits Manipur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur asked them to visit violence-affected Bengal as well. Anurag Thakur visited Bengal's Hooghly to meet BJP workers who were alleged victims of panchayat poll violence. He took on the MP delegation that visited Manipur. Thakur said that the delegation could visit Manipur but not visit victims of poll violence in Bengal. "Does the souls of those 21 MPs cry for the women who have been brutalised over here in Bengal? They can go to Manipur but they can't come to Bengal, where women are being paraded after being disrobed. I ask the 21 MPs to come to Bengal or else the people will question where these leaders were when they were attacked. Are these MPs afraid of coming to Bengal? That they will be attacked?" said Thakur on Saturday.

Trinamool reacts to Calcutta High Court judge's 'hire bulldozers from Yogi government' remark

Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay, while hearing a case on illegal construction in Kolkata, remarked that the Kolkata Municipal Corporation could hire bulldozers from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government. Sources close to the judge said the remark was made in good humour and nothing was put on record. However, Gangopadhyay's remark did not sit well with the political parties in the state. Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh reacted to the judge's remark and said, "Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay wants publicity. He wants fame. The CPM has no role now. They are not in the race. That is why he is trying for the BJP. He doesn't have any trust in the West Bengal BJP. He doesn't believe in Sukanta Majumder or Suvendu Adhikari."
